Students from Clay County High School’s FFA chapter showcased their dedication, teamwork, and skill at recent competitions, earning top placements across a variety of categories.

The Food Science team secured an 8th place finish overall, highlighted by a standout performance from a senior member who placed 6th individually. The team’s success followed weeks of consistent practice and strong group chemistry, with members supporting one another through both challenges and achievements.

In Floriculture, one student stepped up to compete individually after her team was unable to attend, placing 15th out of more than 80 competitors. Her effort and determination demonstrated leadership and resilience under pressure.

The Entomology team brought home a 2nd place team finish, with one member also earning an individual 2nd place award and another placing 5th. Their enthusiasm for the subject and strong teamwork helped drive their success.

Clay FFA also earned a 5th place team finish in Veterinary Science, with a senior competitor placing 4th individually and another student finishing in the top 10. The team was recognized for its extensive preparation and commitment to learning.

In Milk Quality, the team placed 3rd overall, with a student earning 3rd place individually and another finishing 10th. Coaches praised the group for its supportive environment and positive attitude throughout the competition.

While the Mechanics team did not place as highly as hoped, advisors noted the group’s strong work ethic, character, and willingness to learn, calling them outstanding representatives of their school.

Across all categories, Clay FFA members demonstrated not only academic and technical skill but also leadership, perseverance, and teamwork. Advisors say these qualities continue to define the program and its impact on students and the community.
